Will she survive?
Hold onto your hat as well as
your heart! I read this book about 10 years ago and it still
scares the living daylights out of me.
Based on truth Mary Ingles, a
pregnant frontierswoman, literally follows the river after being
captured by the Shawnee Indians. Desperate to return home,
Mary is not alone in her escape (her trail partner is one of the
most memorable parts of the book).
Heart wrenching, thrilling,
surprising and at times even funny, Thom will keep you on the edge
of your seat and maybe even your sanity.
Caution: Do not pick this up
unless you are planning on nothing else.
