Choose the Right

Needed: Printout 1, Printout 2, Printout 3, Pencils or pens for everyone

Cut out blue and yellow squares. Hang up the Jesus and Satan paper on a wall or lay them out on a table.

Read the scriptures in advance and decide which ones you will use in the lesson.

Lesson:
Hand out HALF of the yellow squares. Have everyone write some characteristics of Satan, ( mean, miserable, etc. ) (Revelations 12:9)

Tape or lay them on the Satan page.

Hand out Half of the blue/green squares. have everyone write some qualities of Jesus. (loving, kind, giving etc.) (3 Nephi 17:6-7)

Tape or lay them on the Jesus Page

Hand out the rest of the Yellow squares. Have them write down what our actions are like when we choose to be like Satan, (argue, hit, say bad things, selfish, etc). (Alma 10:25)

Add them to the Satan page

Hand out the rest of the blue/green squares. Have them write down what our actions are like when we choose to be like Jesus. (Giving, happy, kind to others, etc.) (Luke 10:33-34)

"When we do things that Satan would do, we are inviting him into our home and when we try to be like Jesus we are inviting him into our home. We must choose who we want to be like and who we want to have in our home."

Challenge each person to do something during the week to be more like Jesus. Hang the board up in a well seen place so you can see it all during the week. - Joan Wood
