Follow the Prophet

Needed: Simple prophet costume

Lesson:
After the song read a few (or all if you have older kids) these scriptures about the prophets (let everyone read one):
Amos 3:7
1 Nephi 3:7
D&C 1:4
Jacob 4:6

Talk about the scriptures and the duties of a prophet. 

Why should we follow the prophets council?

Sing "Follow the Prophet" . Have each child take a turn to dress and lead as the prophet sang about. The "prophet" would will lead the family all around the room. After each verse, briefly discussed the prophet that you sing about,

How did they follow Heavenly Father's counsel

What happened when the people did and did not follow their counsel.
