Lehi's Dream

Needed: A small tree or big branch, string, a flashlight, grapes or other easy to eat fruit, etc.

Go over Lehi's Dream: 1 Nephi 8:9-34, and the meaning of it, 1 Nephi 11:21-25. Use what scriptures you like as they act out the story.

Re-enacted Lehi's dream. Hang grapes on the tree. Dim the lights. Shine a flashlight on the tree. tie string from a table or chair to the "Tree of Life" Use your imagination on the rest of the dream (The great and spacious buildings etc...)

"Lehi" can tell everyone to follow the "iron rod" (with their eyes closed) and they will find precious fruit, but to not let go or they will lose their way.

Our kids enjoyed the grapes while we explained the symbolism of the iron rod the fruit and etc... They had so much fun with this that they wanted to do it again and again. I think they know this story better than any other Book of Mormon story.
