"Promises"
We have promised much between us
My Savior, Lord and I.
His words I trust, his pledge is true;
On him I will rely.

I've promised him I'll take his name,
To keep it as my own
And he will send the Comforter,
So I'll not walk alone.

Yes, I will Keep his word, his law;
My promise I now give
And He in turn will share with me
Eternal life to live.

Promises link now to the future;
They are previews along the way
Promises say joy for tomorrow
And peace, sweet peace, for today
