Needed:
Candle (red, green or white)
Craft paint, not the color of the candle, two colors work well
Four small candy canes (or a candle holder)
Scripture list (from the New Testament and book of Mormon) Printout 1 OR printout 2 
Directions (if giving as a gift)

Directions:
Using a toothpick or the back of a small paintbrush paint 25 dots on the candle in a line (see picture). Make sure they are not too far apart or it will take a long time to burn each night. If using two or three colors, alternate them.

Take small candy canes out of plastic. Hot glue them around the candle. Let it dry. If moving, move carefully.

Each night, starting on December 1st, light the candle and read the scripture for the day. burn to the first dot, and blow the candle out. Burn to the next dot each night, while reading the scripture until Christmas day!
