Table Decorations

Here are some alternatives to floral centerpieces:

  1) Metallic Christmas bulbs in assorted clear glass or crystal bowls
  2) Photo carousel-style spinning frames with childhood pictures of the bride and
groom
  3) A fruit, cheese and cracker plate for the center of each table
  4) Lemons, limes or grapefruits piled in glass compote bowls and draped with
taffeta ribbon
  5) Live goldfish and colored pebbles in inexpensive fishbowls

My mom bought a couple extra yards when she bought the material for the brides maid dresses. With the extra she made 2'x 2' squares (just surged the edges.) She then placed them on all the tables over the plain white table clothes we borrowed from the RS. Then sprinkled confetti on the extra fabric. In the middle was a single rose with baby's-breath. The extra fabric and confetti dressed up the plain table clothes and tied in the wedding colors beautifully. And it was very inexpensive to do. - Cassandra Spaeth
